Reception's Trip to Imagine That

Lesson: Science

Class: Reception Class Year: 2022 - 2023

Reception had an amazing day at Liverpool's science and discovery centre, Imagine That.

We started our day at the Slime Factory, where we took part in a Science workshops. We learnt about changes of state using dry ice and even got to make slime.

We then moved to the Bright Sparks science zone which was packed with interactive exhibits we got to experiment with wind, electricity, magnets and light. use the giant scarf blower and bicycle generator, make giant bubbles, flash shadows and were amazed by the giant rodlight wall and 5 metre interactive ball wall.
We especially enjoyed the water area where we turned the pumps, fill the buckets and had a splashing good time.

When then had our lunch to recharge for our afternoon activities.

 After lunch we went to the Atrbeatz Art area. Here we got to create some good vibes on a music wall, leave a big impression on a giant Pin Art exhibit, we picked up a paintbrush and got messy painting a real car and then paint a fridge magnet that we got to take home. We also had access to the outdoor area where we went on a fossil hunt.

We finished the day in the imagination village. We got to be what we wanted to be for shop keepers to hairdressers, police to builders there was really something for everybody. There was:

We were all completely excused and ready to go home, well the adult were! We got back on the coach and had a much quieter trip home.
